How to enter a product key

This page explains the procedure to enter your software product key. We strongly recommend reading each step attentively to ensure a smooth experience.

If you’ve inadvertently omitted entering your product key during installation, don’t worry. You can easily edit the key using the License Configuration Application. 

  • Run as an administrator

Steps to follow:

Step 1. Access the License Configuration Utility

The product key can be edited in the License Configuration utility (you can modify the product key when selecting the option run as administrator).
Please note,  you will need to access the License Configuration as an Administrator to enable editing permissions.
  • Run as an administrator

The License Configuration utility is accessible from the Windows menu. This shortcut can also be found in the SAFI folder in the All-programs menu.

Step 2. Adjust the parameters on the License Selection Tab

On the License Selection Tab, make sure to choose the License Type as either standalone or network license (depending on your license), and ensure that the Security System is set to Software Lock.

Step 3. Copy/paste your Product Key in the corresponding field (s).

For instance, if you’re attempting to launch the General Structural Engineering (GSE) Software, input your product key within the SAFI GSE Tab.

  • Please copy and paste the Product Key instead of typing it to avoid potential mistakes.
Your license product key is a 25 characters key, composed of a mix of numbers and letters in the following format:
1ABCD-2EFGH-3IJKL-4MNOP-5QRST

Where can I find my product Key?
 The product key has been emailed to you along with the software download links.

Once your product key has been entered, you can click on OK to close the License Configuration utility and then, you can launch the software.
